Inglot O2M Nail Enamels Review and Swatches
When you hear the term, "breathable beauty products," what's the start thing that comes to listen?
Let me gauge — it wasn't nail smoothen, right? 🙂
Lacquer isn't exactly the first thing that pops into my head when I think nearly "breathable dazzler products."
Breathable foundation? Sure, I can see that. Don't want mah precious pores gasping for air.
Merely breathable blast polishes?
Hmm…
Well, with these new Inglot O2M Breathable Nail Enamels, it'due south their schtick.
Their designed to allow oxygen and water to pass through the enamel to the surface of the nail.
Kinda cool, although I've never actually idea of my nails every bit suffocating beneath my polish, but ok. Inglot says the formula is supposed to contribute to healthier nails.
I do have to say that when I wore six of the sixteen numerically-named (grr) shades a while back, my nails did seem like they were in pretty decent proficient shape when I removed the polishes.
Who knows if my nails were any healthier than before, simply none of them had any peeled bits, and the tips didn't look or experience brittle, which happens to my nails with some polishes.
Every bit for article of clothing fourth dimension, these aren't bad. Maybe not OPI caliber, simply decent enough to make it through a calendar week without major drama.
I tested them without wearing a base or pinnacle glaze, and they fabricated it through four days filled with typing Tabs' memoirs and a few dips in the neighborhood puddle (where I imagined the h2o passing through the polishes) without whatsoever chipping. On the fifth twenty-four hours, a few minor chips appeared around the edges; bigger ones showed up on day six.
For normal, non-testing wear, I probably would use these with base and top coats. I accept ridges on my nails, and when I don't practise a base of operations glaze with the O2Ms, I tin see the my ridges through the dried polish, even through multiple layers (I used two for the shades in this post).
If you like super smoooove-looking polishes, resist your inner lazy girl'southward advances (I know information technology's hard), and take the time to utilize a base coat.
A few more things to consider…
- The formula is DBP-gratuitous (no toluene, formaldehyde or dibutyl phthalate). It besides doesn't contain camphor.
- The only shades hither that gave me trubs were the two blue and green ones. Both of them stained like cray!
- If yous like shades that smooth like a mirror, go for that peak coat, because these aren't nearly as shiny as other brands I've tried.
I think I will wear these once again, despite a few quibbles (not a fan of the numerical naming). I do like the colors and the decent clothing time. I'k not completely sold on the whole breathable angle, but I recall they're worth a effort if you have very sensitive nails or nails that pare and/or dry out out hands.
